So we had a hen that was missing (presumed eaten) for about ten days, then one day lo and behold she re-appeared hauling you know what across the driveway as if being chased by a rabid raccoon.
I had been trying to get all the chickens to stay in a run (for their own good) so I took off after her to try to put her in with the others and... poof Houdini status. The next day she shows back up as if nothing was amiss... with 5 cute little chicks... we were ecstatic! A broody hen... at last
